I ended up going for a Ditto X2 for my pedalboard because cheap and simple. Did not know about the ECCOS looping functions, but might check that out. Still kind of curious about the Blooper as a more creative loop mangler though. Definitely agree it looks better for desktop useGlitches&switches wrote:If you want to destroy loops creatively get a Blooper when they are realeased. If you want more of a looper pedal, check out the new Keelwy ECCOS, there are few things they both can do the same in different ways but are also completely different. I find Blooper to be more of a creative desktop mangler for experimentation than something I would use as a dedicated looper on a board but maybe that's just me? I think the ECCOS is probably the best dedicated delay/looper to come out since the DL6, anyway just my thoughts having played them both briefly. Blooper is fun, unique and one can do things that no other pedal can do but it wouldn't be something I would use as a standard looper on a board if that is what you are looking for, just my opinion.tremolo3 wrote:Found one:

I've never been interested in CB pedals but I am looking for a small looper that can replace my H9 since I want to dedicate that for Reverbs only, so this could be the one!
Question... is this thing out yet? I can only see 2 on Reverb for >$600

Re: Bloop. Bloop. Blooping.
This was basically my point, I think his demos are artsy and cool and entertaining but they don't really show me the range of the pedal or give me an idea of what the pedal would be like under my feet. Moreso they make me go, "Ooh, shiny box of magic, I must have!' Ha ha!cosmicevan wrote:Glitches&switches wrote:Anybody who doesn't like knobs demos is probably because he is the best at what he does, I can't count the number of pedals I bought because of his videos and then got it and immediately felt let down because he made it look and sound out of this world and I can't do that! I know watch his videos because they are great and after that I go watch other demos before deciding to buy the pedal. In other words that guy could sell ice to eskimos! Dude is GOLD at what he does!
I like his demos, but to me, he makes every pedal pretty much sound the same. It is good, but those demos don't really speak to what I'd do with the pedal. I really like it when a demo shows the range of a pedal, not just pretty music.

I sent all my pedals to knobs to get my demo done years ago.
Allegedly he used all of my pedals, but MAN I SURE COULDN'T SOUND LIKE THAT!
Turned out great though

Re: Bloop. Bloop. Blooping.
I went through the manual of the Blooper and I can see why you would want to have that in a desk. I have my mangling covered well on the Octatrack, but I still want a separate box that can record more than 10 seconds, feedback (or sound-on-sound like some people call it), sync options with either MIDI/CV and some basic looping parameters like starting/end points, speed/time stretch and sample length. Zoia is the ideal, but the reason I've been avoiding it is I don't want to end up(again) with option paralysis, and at that price point I might just go straight for a DigitaktGlitches&switches wrote: If you want to destroy loops creatively get a Blooper when they are realeased. I really like the size of the Blooper and if price is also $300 like the other CB pedals, I'll definitely get one.
ECCOS looks nice! And has stereo in/outs, will take a look definitely.

Blooper was $499 on the Kickstarter. Doesn't look like it was discounted though so I am assuming it'll be $499 when it's officially released too.
Also, the ECCOS does look really nice. I hope it takes synth level signals well. If so it might be pretty ideal for what I'm looking for.

Re: Bloop. Bloop. Blooping.
I'm back on the Bloop-train. I had one from the Kickstarter, wasn't using it, gassed for something else and sold it. Now, I've just bought another one. Seems like there have been a bunch of firmware updates and a few modifiers added. TBH, I didn't use the first one nearly enough. I want to experiment more with it this time around.
One of the things I need to figure out is how to loop VST instruments from my computer. I *think* I could technically reamp them through the Axe I/O, but I'm honestly not 100% sure how to even do that. Anyone have experience with that?

Funny that this thread popped up... had a cool encounter with Scott from Knobs/Blooper this week, of which I should be able to say more anon.

Are you wanting to take a VST instrument that you are controlling with a keyboard, Tripleplay or sequencer and output that into your Blooper? You just need to take whatever output you have from your computer and put it into the Blooper or whatever signal path you have and then continue on from there, right?Blood_mountain wrote:One of the things I need to figure out is how to loop VST instruments from my computer. I'm controlling VSTi's wtih a Tripleplay and those are outputting out of my soundcard into various pedal effects paths and then back into my computer so it is definitely doable. All depends on what you want to do and what you have.

Yeah, basically just controlling VSTs with a Novation Launchkey. So I should then theoretically be able to output from my Audio interface into the blooper? I'll have to muck around with it this weekend.manymanyhaha wrote:Are you wanting to take a VST instrument that you are controlling with a keyboard, Tripleplay or sequencer and output that into your Blooper? Re: Bloop. Bloop. Blooping.
I ordered myself another Blooper an hour or so ago - I'd decided I didn't need one when I sold the previous one but as usual that was in part because I never spent enough time with it and because I wanted the money to buy something else
Now I have spare funds again I've decided it's time to give it a second chance.

This is the exact situation I found myself in.Paul_C wrote:I ordered myself another Blooper an hour or so ago - I'd decided I didn't need one when I sold the previous one but as usual that was in part because I never spent enough time with it and because I wanted the money to buy something else![]()
