ASM Hydrasynth. I think I watch videos of it at least once a week. But it's big money, big commitment. Plus, I'm not good enough at playing keys to justify it.

Digitakt: I watched every possible video of it at the point that I think I could operate it without reading the manual. but I still can't justify spending that money knowing that I don't have enough time to use it.
Blooper: too pricey, but maybe if I sell something..
Another couple of guitars: I want them for the pure sake of having those, but in the end I can do almost everything with the 3 electrics I already have.

Mostly guitars and amps, because I have a guitar and amp that I am happy with already. But I do find myself looking at old Yamaha SGs now and again. Those SG-800s seem so cool. Some day, maybe, but as of now I can't really justify it.

Blooper was a big let down for me. A lot of money for something I go months without using. I feel Chase Bliss conned me by implying David Torn was involved in the development (he wasn't and it doesn't have any of the capabilities he has been pushing for in a new looper) and a lot of the pre-release blooper videos have functions that were omitted from the final product.

Expedition Electronics 60 Second Delay, Electro Harmonix 16 Sec DigiDelay reissue w/ count in removed mod, and even the Boss DD20 give me much more to work with and much more fun than Blooper.

This one, too. The complex routing, CV connections, and polyaftertouch call to me. But I feel like I’d never use the polyaftertouch (I honestly never use after touch I currently have access to and usually hate the way it’s implemented in presets). I think what I find the most appealing is the interface and modulation abilities.

Did I just start googling left-handed 8 strings?

Yes.

Thank you very much, thread.

I also feel jibbed by the blooper. I thought Meshuggah was involved in it, but when I didn't buy one it didn't make me sound like Fredrik Thordendal. CBA sucks.

I have been looking at the Moog Matriarch and while it looks really fun, I can't swing that on a synth. Plus it looks huge and trying to find the room for it would be a challenge.

Really though, not being very good at making music is the main reason.

You will not be disappointed by this one. It's probably one of my favorite delay pedals and I plan for this to be my only pedal purchase this year....

I would like a Duo Jet, but I'm a mediocre guitarist who barely plays music anymore, so

Green Russian muff (I will not pay $500+ for one)
Boss FZ-2 (I will not pay more than $200 for one)

A second synthesizer - I have an MS-20 Mini, it’s great. Sometimes I start looking at others. I don’t use the Korg enough as it is. A second one would suffer the same fate.

Trying to think of any other INSANE purchases, I really can’t think of anything. The muff is totally irrational as I’d never take it outside the house. I have too many amp heads as it is. I never lust for another bass. I'm in a very good financial position right now due to really slowing down buying gear and records but I also want less as well. I’m actively trying to sell 15-20% of my records to clear space.

I would love to buy a Musicman Bongo bass - I had a few different ones in a fairly short space of time and settled on the four string HS which was the first one I bought.

The prices in the UK are now insane (new ones are more than double what I paid) even for a used one, so I doubt I'll ever bother, but it was the nicest neck I ever played on a bass and it sounded fabulous.

The only loop Thordenal owns is the loop of string where he ties the key to his woodshed bro

Fender MIM Telecaster Deluxe Black Dove (I really want this P90 equipped guitar, but it's rare and a bit too expensive for my taste. It's on my GAS list for years, but I fear that it will stay on this list forever.)

KORG Z1 EX (I had the Prophecy for a while and it's an awesome sounding machine with lots of instant tweakability thanks to its clever modulation wheels and ribbon controller. The Z1 EX is basically the same thing, but with 18 voice polyphony.)

Moog Minimoog Voyager OS (I would love to have one, but they are very rare and pretty expensive. But it's the only Minimoog that's really appealing to me.)

What's the main reason why I can't justify to purchase another synthesizer: I basically have all the sounds covered that I like and currently I have nine synthesizers with keyboard plus an analogue KORG BX-3 double manual stage organ and a digital piano. Another synth would be bonkers. :hobbes:
