I used steel wool to roughen everything up nd a lot of paint came off doing that.
I doubt it will be super durable and will look worn in fairly quickly and next time I’m going to use a sandpaper. I’m going to start buying up more metal zones and painting them gaudy colours.... depending on my mood!! I would love a bright orange one next to sit next to my HM2 and Super Fuzz.
OHHHH. Nice. I wonder if you could sand blast that sucker. I've always wondered if that would work well with enclosures. Harbor Freight has some cheapie sandblasters too. Well, they are more than free, but cheap compared to other things. You'd have to take all the guts out though to be safe.
I have a Boss or two laying around. I'm going to experiment here. This sounds fun!

I have a Boss EQ that someone painted olive drab (no idea why) but I recall they painted it with enamel paint and baked it in an old toaster oven. (Obviously all the guts have to be removed to do this.) I don’t use that EQ much but haven’t had issues with the paint chipping. And I bought it before I joined ILF.

Searching for that new sound.
If you can read this, then I'm back?
The paint on DOD enclosure comes off with something like Citristrip easily, but I think Boss enclosures paint is a bit better. Almost seems powder coated some times. Media blasting it would probably work just fine.
