I have really started to love the fabled and illustrious Boss Metal Zone (on bass) but I have never clicked with it's pseudo HM-2 colour scheme.
I decided to strip mine, paint the enclosure GOLD - I was going to go with a really bright neon colour but the paint store only had fluorescent green in stock and my friend who works there suggested it might look too much like a tubscreamer.... he suggested bright metallic gold and the rest as they say, is history!
Nah I think I’ll leave it be for now - I really like how it turned out and all it cost was $9 in spray paint.....
I may start buying them up real cheap and just painting them different colours.... I’d love a hot pink one or fluorescent orange to match my Behringer Super Fuzz!
While I'm disappointed its not made of real gold it looks very cool! Reminds me of the limited edition "gold" gameboy pocket my older brother had when we were kids.
This looks so sick! It would be dope with a waterslide metal zone decal on it though?
I might copy you on this, although I do like how it looks standard

I used steel wool to roughen everything up nd a lot of paint came off doing that.
I doubt it will be super durable and will look worn in fairly quickly and next time I’m going to use a sandpaper. I’m going to start buying up more metal zones and painting them gaudy colours.... depending on my mood!! I would love a bright orange one next to sit next to my HM2 and Super Fuzz.
