Not sure if the PS2 is anything like the PS3, but the georgious mode 7 had one particular glitchy reverse setting with no control over any of the other parameters.fcknoise wrote:For that I would look at a PS-2 or a PS-3 perhaps. I mean, I need to suggest timebender here because it does all of that the best, but it has the shitty power requirements and it def is not set and forget. It does too much for that. People also compain that the repeats are too quite and have a volume drop.
FX-loops has always intrigued me, but whenever I've had the chance to actually use one I've found it pretty annoying to deal with. But that is probably because why and what effect would i put in the loop of the eventide space? it does everything already. Same with timebender, I don't need to try a delay with some stuff in its loop. That said, I can totally see the point in having like a multi-mod effect in the loop of something. It makes sense.
I tried a timebender for while, the vol drop and quiet repeats were indeed what made it unuesable for me. A real shame, such a powerful and versatile pedal otherwhise. I also remember the tone control just seemed to roll of the highs, instead of really messing with the amount of degradation, in a more natural way, like it works on most modern digital delays. Plus the different analog modes were really unimpressing compared to today's competition, the different tape and analog modes sounded nearly identical. That's all nitpicky for a feature packed machine (strum pattern delay, picth shifting, stereo, exp.pedal in,...) in that price range though, if it weren't for the loudness of the repeats and maybe the meh reverse mode, I'd still be using it.
