I love my Fuzz-E-Cat. Had it for a couple of years now. Mine is actually the one in the demo in the OP. :joy:

I used it on our last album, from about 3:30 on this track:

The Oniric is amazing. I love mine and I have V.1
No desire for V.2 because it's that good (very small changes anyway).

Was looking at it the other day, it sounds really nice, I was caught by the two cascading reverbs with independent settings.

Hey hi!

We released a full demo of the Futura.Wich is a Chorus/Vibrato pedal, with a voice similar to the CE-2, but expanding the possibilities with an envelope follower, with combinational options.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers from Mexico! :) :joy:

Does anyone else have direct experience with the Futura at this point? I was finally able to take mine for a test drive earlier today and discovered a couple of issues: 1) Prominent self-oscillation or clock noise when the depth switch is in the down position and depth knob is above 1:15. 2) Intermittent crackling when using the latching switch for momentary applications or disabling the envelope follower after having it engaged for longer periods (circuit rebiasing or cold solder?). I'm using an isolated power supply. Do these sound like normal operation to other Futura users?

Hey, I’m Efren, the designer of Paradox Effects, glad you asked about this. The self-oscillation click you describe is intentional, when the depth switch is downward, at minimum envelope signal (or not playing your instrument at all) the circuit generates a "glitch" or "vinyl scratching setting", and once you attack the instrument, you make the BBD enter the "chorus/vibrato" operation point, that was the purpose and the whole idea on that feature.
On your second concern, I’ll need to check more details, but please send an email to contact@paradoxeffects.com and I can look into this a bit better, because the switch makes a subtle "switching noise" but it’s not really really loud, regardless hope you are enjoying the pedal!

Thanks for the personal reply, Efren. The Futura actually serves as an interesting tone generator when the abovementioned oscillation happens and is proving to be the most unique analog chorus pedal I've used to date (if the Earthquaker Devices Sea Machine is digital). It can produce subtly morphing chorus and vibrato textures that add a new dimension to a classic effect. I will definitely reach out via email if the switch issue persists.
