From my band Canyons (I play bass).
http://www.myspace.com/wearecanyons These aren't the final mixes but are the first songs we have recorded in a semi-professional matter. Hope you dig it.

The singer sounds like Corgan mixed with Kristian Matsson (of the tallest man on earth) I dig it, has a lot of pumpkins going on but with some other stuffs too.

Thanky. We do get the Corgan/Pumpkins comment a lot. None of use are really influenced by them/him very much at all. Go figure. Haha. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you fine sir. A local music blogger says we sound like a crappy Modest Mouse ripoff?

Your singer sounds like a less high and more angry Alec Ounsworth. I like it

Indeed. Early Modest Mouse is certainly a big influence on us. Tablescraps is one of our early demos (before I started playing with the band) I feel like we've moved away from that sound quite a bit.

I shall indeed. We should have some stuffs for free download in the coming weeks. We are getting our final mixes in loss less format pretty soon.
We played a show in Lake Forest (South Orange County) today and clocked 120dB from 10 feet away. We got shut down halfway through our set.
