New Tracks!

Post by theshoegazer »

From my band Canyons (I play bass).

These aren't the final mixes but are the first songs we have recorded in a semi-professional matter. Hope you dig it.

The singer sounds like Corgan mixed with Kristian Matsson (of the tallest man on earth)

I dig it, has a lot of pumpkins going on but with some other stuffs too.

Thanky. We do get the Corgan/Pumpkins comment a lot. None of use are really influenced by them/him very much at all. Go figure. Haha. Glad you enjoyed it.

It''s mostly the first song on your myspace that had me thinking SP, the rest was just cool tunes.

Thank you fine sir. A local music blogger says we sound like a crappy Modest Mouse ripoff? :joy:

Your singer sounds like a less high and more angry Alec Ounsworth. I like it

Indeed. Early Modest Mouse is certainly a big influence on us. Tablescraps is one of our early demos (before I started playing with the band) I feel like we've moved away from that sound quite a bit.

I shall indeed. We should have some stuffs for free download in the coming weeks. We are getting our final mixes in loss less format pretty soon.

We played a show in Lake Forest (South Orange County) today and clocked 120dB from 10 feet away. We got shut down halfway through our set. :joy:
