It's been awhile since I made any cables. I used to cut up older long cables and also mistakenly tried the Lava solderless which suck.
Who makes good/decent instrument cable and jacks? Doesn't need to be the highest grade $50 per foot stuff.

After settling on these, I'm never buying new cables again...
Cable:

Jacks for guitar/amp:

Jacks for pedals:

(they work perfectly so long as you use some sand paper to rough up the inside of the jack before soldering the ground wire to it)

I'm a big fan of the BTPA CA-0446 cable, and Squareplugs.

I haven't tried the hicon, but they seem good quality! They have a tab for the signal connection and a bit of plastic to isolate it, both of which make things easier.MechaGodzilla wrote:have you tried hicon pancake-shape jacks? not super low profile but decent quality as far as i can tellBartimaeus wrote: Jacks for pedals:

I use G&H right angle plugs and Canare GS6. A patch made from those costs about $7 depending on length and I have some on my board that I built 15 years ago.
