I didn't chime in because people had said it enough, but it's a great pedal and I love mine. Enjoy! :thumb:

Sounds pretty awesome with regular guitar too. I wish I could get it un-gated but it's a very interesting and versatile fuzz.

The TAFM gate has a switch. :?:

I agree it sounds great on guitar though.

I personally find the Darkglass Duality to be the best gated fuzz for bass I've tried. It's a sawtooth gate wave when set all the way down, and sounds amazing. It can get super squashed and even more gated with your volume rolled back.

Is the TAFM even a true gate? I was under the impression that it wasn't, but maybe I'm wrong.

I can't figure out how to get mine to be completely ungated. It's a natgeo one. I dunno if there are differences over the years. I really notice gates coz I use weak single coils set quite low in my two main guitars. I had a faceless marquis which sounded really really cool but even the least gated setting was too gated for my puny mustang pickups.

Pretty sure it is, my single coil pickup is dead silent when the gate is engaged. Notes sputter out all weird like any other gated fuzz... :idk:

Interesting. I guess this is the difference between the fuzz itself being a liiittle bit gated vs the actual proper noise gate in the latest ones (which yes is a full noise gate). I've never really found it a problem but different guitars and tastes and all that. :idk:

:joy: it's tits man.

The pinch knob and input knob really let you set the gating how you want, and just tweak a little for different pickups. Hard mode is amaze
