That's weird. Luckily transferring files is easy.

the most fun is to have ebay, discogs and youtube open, pick a random element and look for weird records and then search them on youtube :idk:

It does still have that, and it seems to be the same as it used to be, just everything else isn't. The forums were pretty good there, and lists etc. RYM is growing a lot though and they've been working on their version of a scrobbler for a while now, I expect when that comes out it'll be the nail in the coffin of last.fm.
RYM is doing a scrobbler thing? First I've heard of that.

Admittedly I've only used last.fm out of habit at this point, can't think of any actual reason to use that site anymore though. Dead as shit.

What does bandcamp do for you guys that couldn't be done by just hosting your own website with vendor page?
I think it works quite nice for discovery as well?

You get bandcamp weekly, bandcamp daily, two fan spotlights.
If you find an album you like on BC it will show you who else owns that album
& you get to browse their BC-record-collection.

If you find a fan that shows a keen eye & taste for new releases you can follow him/her
& you get notified for every addition to their collection.

I'm repeatedly amazed how much of online music selling BC gets right for both musicians & fans alike :idk:
