Also a reverb into a filter or in its FX loop is fun and will definitely drag out your decay. I run a Dewdrop into Wonder Filter.

Putting a fuzz/distortion/comp/booster/anything that adds sustain, before an envelope filter, will also greatly lengthen the time it takes for signal to fall below the threshold. Unless you want like a linear fall from start to finish.

I love reverb into a filter. Going to have a custom FSH-1 built with reverb in front. That way I can have spacey shit and a dedicated verb early in the chain.

Yeah, this thread started because I've been liking running a Your and You're before an envelope filter.actualidiot wrote:Putting a fuzz/distortion/comp/booster/anything that adds sustain, before an envelope filter, will also greatly lengthen the time it takes for signal to fall below the threshold. I've tried compressors too, but don't really like compressors all that much. I much prefer the compression from fuzz.
Would like to hear that.hotknife wrote:I love reverb into a filter. Going to have a custom FSH-1 built with reverb in front. That way I can have spacey shit and a dedicated verb early in the chain.

So, I just tried this and it didn't work so well for me. I also tried it with a delay and liked that better.Eric! wrote:Also a reverb into a filter or in its FX loop is fun and will definitely drag out your decay. I run a Dewdrop into Wonder Filter.
