Hmm, I just remembered the trick you can do on the Minimoog, by connecting one of the two outputs to the external in, causing the filter to overdrive.
Looked at some pictures of the Model D and apparently the "patch points" are all present.

It's supposed to be a clone of the Minimoog. Would you be complaining about the lack of CV possibilities, if it didn't happen to share the same dimensions as eurorack stuff? The fact that it fits in a eurocase is a "nice bonus feature". More jacks would mean higher prices, and I doubt that their main target group is modularheads, who'd happily shell out 400$ on a single module, anyway.

Not at all...if it wasn't euro compatible then of course it wouldn't matter, it's just that the euro bonus angle kind of falls flat without the requisite bells & whistles.

How much is a Boomstar 5089 in the US? Like $8-900 bones? I feel something like that is a better point of comparison for this thing as opposed to Moog's current Model D offering. Like everyone whos forking out $4k or whatever for one of those is definitely aware of all their options and is paying for the perceived quality and exclusivity and stuff. They wouldn't even be bothering with this Behringer thing.
It's not like it's gonna undercut the "massive" (super limited) model D market.
Then there's the general ethics of the whole thing and idk about that

Not likely. I believe that was just a mock up. My guess is that they don't have prototype working yet. Behringer also teased a $500 Arp Odyssey that never came out. I get douche chills from Uli Behringer and don't really believe a lot of his claims. Hyping this up along with vague $50 synths gets him a lot of internet chatter, but when they came out with their Juno clone they didn't even set the price even after they showed it because they were still gauging bulk pricing depending on interest. So I don't even know if it's possible to claim a price. Making that kind of statement just infers that the Minimoog is overpriced, which, quick frankly, seems like a dick move.

Also if that mock up is Eurorack mountable, it may end up with micro knobs like the Roland Boutique.
