I didn't see a thread on this, apologies if there is already one.

idk-it's not really that cheap, is it? and there are many ways to get into related and frankly more interesting territory...this strikes me as pretty meh, outside of the ethics optics.

Maybe I'm just bent the wrong way to appreciate this....

Sorry to be so Negadelphia about it....

I think that looks like a good price? I love that it's a module, and if it sounds as close as their pedal clones do it might be worth it? Definitely need to hear about how it sounds. I don't like that behringer teases this stuff so early on.....

Apparently there's controversy about it? I don't really get it, though.
Price seems right if it's actually a solid piece of kit. :idk:
Compare it to something like the Mother32 or the new Model D and it doesn't seem like that bad of a price to me.

Well, the eurocrack do add up, that's true. I'm just such a bottom feeder, even the nice stuff I have I usually snag for at least 40% off new retail pricing, so my sense of value is likely skewed. And, also, I'm definitely not an East Coast purist, so I have little intrinsic Mooglust, and I guess I haven't paid enough attention to Moogprice. Hearing it in use is a solid plan for sure. Behringer stuff has a sneaky way of sounding as good or better than the stuff that "inspired" it sometimes....

Price is definitely an advantage over others, but AJH Synth has a full line of Model D Euro clones and there is also a guy on Muffs that is making a clone of the Mini Moog as well (with individual modules also coming). Only vantage here is price point but yea there isn't much in the way here of useful patch points.

It's neat that it's eurorack compatible, but it's weird that it has so few patchpoints. Why would you want to drop this into your eurorack if it can't really interface with anything else?

Look at it as a module with the bonus option of a couple of patchpoints, like the Brutes and what have you.

I might have an aversion towards his products, but he makes some good points.

I might be worked up if the Model D wasn't over 35 years old.

It's not like people are going to confuse Behringer's and Moog's, anyway. And those who would buy Behringer's probably wouldn't buy Moog's, either. :snax:

I mean, considering the fact that it's Behringer and is $400 bucks, I'd say it's exceeding expectations in the looks dept.
