I think the cheaper one is just the same as the more expensive one but with one reverb engine thingy instead of two. Can't imagine they'll have different sounds.popvulture wrote:Hark the fuckin' herald angels sing. I wish they'd all just leave that shit to Strymon.
EDIT: didn't they say there were going to be two versions though? I remember something about one at around $199, then a "crazier" one at around $300. I would hope at least the weirder one has reverse. We shall see.

Haha was more referring to more crazy sounds in general, dickusD.o.S. wrote:"crazy" reverse reverb
Well, I'm nonetheless psyched to hear how this thing sounds, though I don't think I'll be buying any more complicated verb boxes for a long time.
Now that I think about it, it might be sorta admirable that they said fuck it re: reverse. Aside from shimmer, that's one of the hardest effects to make sound remotely original.

I think you have access to another 12 additional algorithms that you can load with their app, or something like that... Not very familiar nor interested on their stuff but I think that's how their delay works.Dungus wrote: Saw a full frontal pic of it somewhere... probably here! I'll have a look for it. Yeah, it didn't have a reverse function on the scroll wheel thingy, so im assuming it doesn't feature. LOADS of shimmer no doubt, though.

Are you sure it wouldn't as hidden algorithm with the neuro app?
Fuzzonaut about the RM-1N:
"Amp in a box"?
No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

Yeah, the Source verb will have an additional 12 algorithms available through the app.

I've swapped most of the panel presets on my Nemesis for other algorithms. I mean, why would I ever need slapback? The Ventris is a powerful stereo reverb pedal featuring 24 distinct effect engines

What's wrong with slapback?
To the OP - if you already have an Rv7 that's probably as good as your get without spending more or a bigger enclosure- like the Cathedral. I found most of the reverbs in it weren't that great but the reverse had a lot of options to tailor the sound.

I like DK, I just don't play that sort of stuff myself.D.o.S. wrote:UglyCasanova wrote:Yeah...no.
The digital delay on short time+repeats and the tone rolled back sounds EXACTLY like the slapback algo. There was absolutely no reason to have a dedicated slot for it on the face of the pedal. That was my point.
