T Pedals Buggy Fuzz, maybe? Mode 3 is supposed to be "a deep bass fuzz, like a giant Fuzz Face." Currently on sale, 50% off.

Caroline's Olympia seems fat and cool.
Is there a bias trim Inside to get it velcro like?

Don't look like there're any trimmers in there:

I find it funny the only thing in focus in that picture is the bottom edge of the enclosure (and, yeah, I don't have a leg to stand on regarding photographic prowess).Chankgeez wrote:Don't look like there're any trimmers in there:
I'll shout out my Mudlark for the thread, though the LF band on the eq is more of a middle low as opposed to deep six (corrective modifications are easy enough).

I found it via a Google image search. It's from a YouTube video. It looks like there's a glare coming off the pcb as well. I still don't see any trimmers though.

AH, video frame would explain it. It had an almost intentional artsy quality about it, so I went nit-pickery on the composition.
Agree, nothing looks remotely trimmer-esque in there.

It does look decidedly artsy, but probably unintentionally so.
Here's the not so great sounding video to go with it:

Re: fuzz with lots of low ends (not muff)
I never looked at mine to be honest. For a while there I was using a Tele into a Fender Deluxe and was finding a bunch of pedals too shrill. I was able to get good sounds against the tide of all of that bright sounding gear with it so I'm confident to say it's loud and deep and good. I'm such a shitty guitarist that I flipped the guitar gear and board and moved back to bass recently. Nothing wrong with the gear, plenty wrong with the player!sylnau wrote:Caroline's Olympia seems fat and cool.

HM-2, good call. Kinda in the same category as the HM-2 and FZ-2, another Boss pedal that has a two band eq, oozes with low end, and is capable of gnarly over the top sounds: ODB-3.ThurberMingus wrote:I don't have anything to add other than that this thread is reigniting my ever present Buzzz even more.
I liked the HM-2 a lot for bassy applications. I bet one of it's fancy varients would sound pretty good.
Imo it's more like a bastard cousin of the HM-2 than a "bass overdrive". Cheap as fuck, but not at all in the same league as a Buzzz or Mastotron or Algal Bloom I guess

FZ2 rules.
But fuck yeah my Buzzz is annihilating anything on my board right now with its low end.
Everything else seems quiet in comparison. Even shit that is louder.

I got a limbo 3 proto instead.
The Black Forest and the Fuzz Throne are currently playing tag team as I actually can't get either of them to sound right after I switch to them from the Buzzz.
SO MUCH FUCKING BASS.
