TAFMs can conjure masterful low end...or just run anything into a Meatbox. Works for me (on bass). :idk:

Haven't actually tried any of these pedals, but here are some fuzzes from my notes (based on past research), that allegedly have a lot of low end:

-Devi Ever Stone
-Dwarfcraft Devices Eau Claire Thunder
-Dwarfcraft Devices Hair Of The Dog
-El Rey Effects Billy Jack Fuzz
-Fuzzhugger Great Wall
-Fuzzhugger Squelch Master
-Zvex Fuzzolo
-Zvex Mastotron
-Zvex Wooly Mammoth

^At least the Stone and Eau Claire Thunder are muffy, though. Again, haven't actually used any of these, so they might not be the greatest examples... I personally would love to try a Mastotron, Squelch Master and Eau Claire Thunder

I was gonna suggest to look for something that is derivative of a Muff but isn't one. My favorite bassy fuzz are muffs with mods (Pharaoh and something custom a buddy made for me with that in mind).
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

Are you playing bass? I thought the Fuzz War sounded great with bass.

And I will continue recommending the Buzzz until everybody on earth has one.

Uglyface with cap mod. 0.33uF instead of the 0.1uF coming off the vactrol, and you get into octave down territory. I modded mine with a 4 position switch, 0.047uF, 0.1uF, 0.22uF, and 0.33uF positions. The 0.33uF is far and away my fav, it's like a Blue Box chainsaw.

... or one of the many clones or variants thereof, e.g., Earthbound Audio Pale Mare, Black Arts Toneworks Black Sheep fuzz, Black Cat Bee or Wee Buzz, Lone Wolf Audio Black Goat Fuzz, etc.

Also, the Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom V2 can get pretty bassy with the clipping switch in the bass position, as can the J. Rockett WTF. Another Uglyface-type pedal capable of massive low end thunder is the Subdecay Harmonic Antagonizer, though it's far glitchier than other members of the Uglyface family. Additionally, a Buzzaround or clone may be worth exploring, as there's a certain area of the timbre control that boosts both bass and mids.

I have a Jext Telez Dizzy Tone clone inbound that will probably prove to be a decent option for getting my bass-heavy fuzz on.

Fender Blender. Lots of other unruliness as well, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're doing.

Yeah, regarding behaviour, are you looking for something that will submit to your nuances or an unruly bastard of the deep?

The Mastotron can get dangerously bassy. Also: FZ-2. Gnarly superfuzz with a parametric eq.
