luckily the guy didnt get in unfortunatly in your story, one guy did at my house and i just woke up when he snuck into my room some ninja theif mofo about to strangle me
luckily my big bro was there we nabbed him scared the crap out of me

ive also nearly been shot by my next door neighbour who lost his mind on drugs and chased his kids with a gun they ran down my driveway and to my backdoor i let them in locked the door he tried to knock the door down yelling and screaming then started firing bullets into the house

put plainly i sleep with one eye open and a double checked lock

Over Thanksgiving break while i was at home with my family, I got a call from my roomate Greg at like noon on thanksgiving. Basically, what had happened was, two guys planned to rob our house blind, and what they did was Park their van in front, opened the doors and started trying to break the doorhandle with a screwdriver. LUCKILY, my neighbors in the Apartment complex next door saw this happening from his window, and called the police station. ALSO LUCKILY (and unluckily in some cases) the police station is a block away. So what ended up happening was the dudes gave up on the screwdriver bit and literally BROKE THE WOODEN DOOR IN HALF, ran in, unlocked the front door, and found themselves met out front by 4 policemen. It turns out they were both armed, and Greg slept through it the entire time... His bedroom is above the back door. He woke up to 4 policemen in his bedroom. He got so lucky he wasn't killed. I got so lucky all my gear wasn't taken. Dude's were also wanted previously for murder. As i said, Greg's lucky.

Just to clarify, I wouldn't really torture someone that broke in to my place. I would, however, not wait to see if they are carrying a weapon or not. If someone is willing to break into my home, I have to assume they are willing to harm me. In the end, it's me or them .

There's been a lot of crazy stuff going down in Montreal lately... I've been wondering the same thing. Did you know that we live in the most corrupt city in Canada? Ever wonder about all the fires that have been going on the last couple of years? Ever notice that within a few days of a place burning down there's already a sign up announcing the name of the new business that'll be taking over? I have a few theories about the violence that's sprung up... but maybe I shouldn't speak them over the internet. *shifty eyes*

last night around the same time someone buzzed my door again. i'm really wasn't expecting anyone.
I decided to buzz them in knowing that i can stand at the top of my stairs and see them coming
fully willing to confront or at least identify this mofo
bat in one hand, camera in the other (i'm not wearing pants)

but it was just some really young girl. i totally freaked her out with the flash in the face.
she apologized and said she must have the wrong address.
said she was going to study at her friends house.
then she went back to her car and drove away.
i don't know what to make of that. or access if it's related.

my aunt and uncle got robbed when i was around 5-6th grade. they only lived a mile or so away from us and i would ride my bike over there and cut the grass. they were not home when it happened but the robbers tore the place up and made off with a bunch of stuff. we went over there the next morning and it was horrifying. i remember being afraid for some time...

i am glad that all of you are alright after the experiences you have had.

Luckily I have never been in this sort of situation.

US laws do vary from state to state, and there are those here who want to pass law that would make it illegal to defend your self.
Now I don’t own a baseball bat, but I do have a 12 gage that will do in a pinch.

HAHAHA, I can only imagine the look on that girl. Oink surprise attacks her with a flash to the face, then is standing there (in his underwear!) like he's up to bat. On a more serious note, keep that pic you got of her. I would also possibly tell the police about it. The way she drove off instead of calling her friend or whatever to find the right building, the fact that it keeps being your place...strange things are afoot at the Oin K

of course i'll keep the pictures, just in case she was a scout
but the drastic contrast between her shaken reaction and the aggressive first visitor, so that helps me believe they weren't related.

we'll see tonight if we get a 3ed new visitor.

not to stereotype but the guy looked like a friend (ex boyfriend?) of the previous tenant that live in their apartment.

I wouldn't want that fire truck to come save ME, it kinda sounded like I was ripping on female firefighters in my last post but I meant that it looked like all the firemen had rounded up a bunch of drunk women and were partying.
