God damn. That sounds great. I'll have to find a time to make ribs when Aen isn't around, as he is mr. picky-pants when it comes to food.

I'm going to make some Thai vegetable curry tonight. Just need to figure out which vegetables.

Re: What are you cooking?
Lamb meatballs with feta and a spicy tomato sauce tonight. Brownies for dessert. And wine, because I am getting sick, so why not...

Currently making lunches for the week, Thai Coconut Curry Butternut Squash Soup.
It would be vegan but I ran out of veggie broth do I am using the free range chicken broth from Trader Joes (which is so fucking flavorful it's insane).

I've been obsessed with Cacio e pepe lately.

God those chops look good.
I made a pretty bangin pozole last week, used the leftovers to make pozole enchiladas.
Classic bachelor chow! You like puttanesca?Chankgeez wrote:I've been obsessed with Cacio e pepe lately.

Re: What are you cooking?
Yes, except I don't really like capers and don't particularly care for anchovies. So, in true bachelor style, if I made it, I'd omit those ingredients.friendship wrote: You like puttanesca?

Haha the anchovies are my favorite part.
I have some chicken legs in the freezer, I think I'm going to make some kind of curry this weekend, open to suggestions

Re: What are you cooking?
Discovered Suan La Bai Cai, a sichuan cabbage stir-fry, in a blog and I've been doing it 2-3 times per week since. If you're vegetarian or vegan, this dish is your new best friend. Really quick to make. Easy to change up too! I've tried it with added tofu, shiitake mushrooms, sriracha in the wok sauce and so on.

Listen to Oarfish, it's heavy.

I usually only eat anchovy if it's in Caesar dressing. Not much of a fishy fish eater.friendship wrote:Haha the anchovies are my favorite part.
That looks amazing. Thanks.oarfish wrote:Discovered Suan La Bai Cai, a sichuan cabbage stir-fry, in a blog and I've been doing it 2-3 times per week since. I'll definitely be trying that this winter. Cabbage is my "go to" winter vegetable.

Re: What are you cooking?
Hmmm I wonder how it is. I made some penne the other day that had been sitting in my pantry due to its gluten-freeness. It was ancient grains / quinoa and turned out to actually be pretty good! I'll find out what it is... meanwhile I wanna know how that stuff ^^^ turns out if you try it!

Re: What are you cooking?
Non-wheat pastas have improved over the years.
That Banza isn't available in stores near me. So, I'd have to order it online. So, I'd have to order an entire case. Just wanted to see if anybody had any opinions on it before doing that. I'm sure it'll probably taste fine. I can definitely use all the protein from it. I'll probably buy some eventually, but may wait until the autumn to do so.
