it was DEAD. they started off to about 20 people, 50 or so by the end of it. trippin out thinking about all the people who got boned out of seeing them at levitation and we have people sleeping on it over here.. goes to show why bands skip el paso. they RULED. so fucking glad I got to see them. one off the bucket list.
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

Nice stage photo bro, :thumb:

Boris are one of the most annihilating live bands - in a good way - If they have the proper volumes (which unfortunately they didn't had the last time because of stupid db rules of the venue)

Too bad they don't come to EU very often.

UH. I would like to close myself in a rehearsal room with all that gear for one month and see what happens.
probably i'll end up without eating and feeding myself only with low frequencies and smoke.

I was wondering if you were gonna go to the show. I'm glad you got to see them. What was the set list like?

I would be so bummed if the venue imposed DB limitations. Boris wouldn't be the same without those cranked amps. there was one point where their stage guy came out and started messing with the amp's volume; I thought it was going to end but instead the 3 of them cranked the master volume on all of their amps and SHIT GOT REAL. my body was already vibrating before that shit.. so fucking awesome.

their set list was all over the place. played pink, some dronevil, some amp worship and to be honest I wasn't too familiar with the other stuff. I've been looking for this one song where Wata starts off clean and chill with the possessed and it builds up to this gazey jam.. it was so rad. Atsuo really knows how to get ya to just go 'YEAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' with fists shaking in the air.

saw Yautja and Magrudergrind last night, but the lighting was too shit for proper photos. nothing fancy, but man that guy from Yautja can fucking shred. the PV stack was ungodly.

YES, THAT'S WHAT I MEANT: Boris is LOUD. They have to be LOUD.
I was so disappointed when i heard such low volumes.

indeed: probably beacuse i've never saw many musicians playing "slow"/droneish stuff getting so involved in it wihout getting a "ohmygodi'msoinspiredi'mstartingtomeditateaboutlifegodsmetaphysics&pizza" look (me included).
