I had a Digitech Polara, it was a very nice sounding reverb, much nicer than the HOF I had a while ago.
The Spring and Plate settings on the Polara were great.

thanks! that's the one i've been the most curious about, before listening to a bunch of demos of the T2.

the polara's appearance is HIDEOUS though. :barf:

I'll be the oddball and suggest the Cathedral.
I've learned to really like it. Especially since you can get a super washy and ambient sound out of all the different modes (which sounds amazing on flerb).
I got mine for $160/170, too, so it was completely worth it.

or is hardwire just part of the name of the digitech supernatural?
DigiTech and Lexicon are both owned by Harman. Some DigiTech stuff has Lexicon algorithms.

Hardwire was meant to be a boutique-ish DigiTech stompbox line. Supernatural aside, it didn't sell very well. The new stuff (Polara, Obscura, Ventura, etc.) is a remixing/expanding of Hardwire.

It's funny, people keep ragging on Tom for the new pedals' look, but Hardwire 2.0 is a good deal more popular than old stuff ever was.

I really like the artwork but I really hate it on the pedal.

Not that I was going to buy one (sorry Leaves). I'm holding out for the moment when y'all offer an infinite plate with expression control.
good deals are here.

It's true, the Reverberator is infinitely more interesting than the Polara. Some day...

I really hope they're actually working on re-releasing the XP series.
I know there's been a few rumors, but I want something concrete, dammit!

Stereo Verb I use and RV5 and a supernatural
both very good but pretty different

owned a polara got rid of it pretty quickly, had a few OK sounds but wasn't nearly as good as the supernatural

it's big but the cathedral is dope
if I was in the habit of buying EHX stuff I would probably still have one

I want to try an RV-6 but the 5 does everything I would need it to do as a front of chain verb

I know people like the HOF but I have tried it and the arena version and the other one and was never a fan, it just came up short to my ears

Well you just got a "some day" from one of the Digitech Boiz himself, so...

Hardwire was the high end line produced by digitech. The hardwire pedals were made in the US to demonstrate the quality of the series briefly but production was moved to China after a little while. The made in china ones have the digitech moniker on them but are exactly the same, high quality pedals.

The RV-7 is the predecessor to the polara. The only difference other than the housing is that the polara has the halo (chorusy octave) setting as opposed to the gated mode, and the tails switch is on the outside of the pedal instead of mounted on the pcb.
We're on a road to nowhere. Come take a ride.

My understanding was also that the Polara was a rehoused RV-7 and they were both lexicon algos. I cannot say enough good things about the Supernatural and even the old Digiverb. Get the Polara. Dig the Metropolis Space Elf art.

I should clarify that my personal opinions should not be taken as indications about what's actually being developed. 'Someday' just means I really really really really REALLY want to make it happen.
