stereo reverb vs. two mono
aside from the eventide space, any recommendations? i'm usually not interested in digitech stuff but am actually curious about the polara...
*need stereo in & out
edit: changing this - anyone gone w/ two mono reverbs after something else stereo / a splitter instead of one stereo?
i'm going to be running to two separate amps, maybe that's a better way to go anyway...
if so what've you chosen to use?

Re: stereo reverb suggestions
Reverb is used for a bunch of different things. Want to have huge, ambient-y reverb or more subtle stuff? Haven't tried the Polara but I bet you could find it in a store and try it

Re: stereo reverb suggestions
I'd try out a Boss RV-6 as well because I've heard they improved a lot on the RV-5

Re: stereo reverb suggestions
I like the HOF. Not OMG-Amazeballs but really good and useful, and the Toneprint thing can be fun. I think it's a better reverb than the Zoom MS stuff, though if you want shimmer stuff and a good L6 Particle sim, the 70cdr and 100bt have those, and a bunch else and effects chaining. I love some of the MS models, but while doing less, on average the HOF does a higher level of quality at the admittedly fewer things it does. Oh, and the MS stuff can be a pain in the ass to really get the most out of in a live set without a lot of premeditation.
I have a Digi iStomp set for the Lexi Hall reverb and it's really solid for a compact pedal reverb, and the other reverb models it does don't slouch, so I would think the Hardwire R7 and Polara wouldn't slouch, either.
Unless you go back to a Hardwire or iStomp, all of this stuff has tightly spaced stereo jacks that don't like pancake plugs. Straight plugs or expensive solderless kits, unless the EBS patches play nice with them. Plan accordingly.

Re: stereo reverb suggestions
I can't recommend the Hardwire RV-7 more, I've consistently come back to it having tried out more feature packed and flashier reverbs!

Re: stereo reverb suggestions
have the hardwire pedals been both digitech and lexicon?
or is hardwire just part of the name of the digitech supernatural?

Re: stereo reverb suggestions
I don't want to hijack, but when recording a stereo effect like this, would you take your two outputs, and pan them hard right and hard left, or do they have phase cancellation that takes care of that, so you leave them both unpanned at center?

I think the hardwire brand was an offshoot of digitechspace6oy wrote:have the hardwire pedals been both digitech and lexicon?

some of that line with a few changes here and there now under the digi name.
