Re: RIP Bowie
I looked at the first 2 pages of Bowie cds on Amazon and like 17 out of 19 were sold out. Not bad.

I have a friend (I've known the guy since 7th grade) and he said something along the lines of "Bowie is not a hero and never did anything for this country so who gives a fuck that he died of cancer". It was worse than that, but it irritated me so much I deleted his ass. I just don't get that. Like what is wrong with mourning a death? People make me fucking sick sometimes.
Yeah I feel like anyone who has a problem with Bowie is just an uninspirable bedwetter.
Plus yep, I'd immediately delete as well.

That might make an interesting thread in the Music forum....best 3 album streak.
Can't argue with that...

About that photo...

Sorry guys.
Dunno who that guy is...DoS might, I'd assume whoever he is, he was attached to Hawkwind in some way.
Almost certain he wasn't in the lineup, though.

Re: RIP Bowie
About Blackstar: Everyone keeps talking like these are his deathbed recordings but the story at the time of release was that he recorded it early last year and was tweaking it ever since. When it was released, I'm sure he knew it was his last but maybe not in the studio.
Do I have that wrong?

I think I read he was "battling" cancer for a year and a half, so he would have known?

Re: RIP Bowie
Just got around to picking up Black Star and giving it a listen. I spent about 30 minutes talking to a dude in the record store about Bowie and ended up grabbing it. I had initially gone in for an LP copy of Earthling that was limited to 1k but it was 150 and I just don't have that to drop on vinyl right now.
I'm so taken back by this album. I heard a few songs briefly from it when it came out but didn't listen out of sadness over Bowie's death. I can say that it's one of his best guys. I really, really loved it. Had some older vibes in there as well as 90's Bowie. What an amazing talent he was. Rest in Peace.
