Re: RIP Bowie
Jesus. I just found out.
Such a shock.
I heard he was surrounded by loved ones, that's the way to do it.

Re: RIP Bowie
RIP David Bowie, a rock/ pop legend and a personality. I'm not a huge fan myself BUT nobody can deny he did some really cool stuff and had a huge impact on musicians on more than one decade. And he JUST released the Black Star album which he surely knew would be his last, which is a pretty awesome thing.
As an 80's kid and a horror fan I'll always remember Bowie from the soundtrack of the 80's remake of Cat People with Robert Fripp in lead guitar, and from his performance in The Hunger, as an rapidly aging vampire.

Oh yeah, the album has farewell written all over it. Especially "Lazarus". I was thinking it was just him coming to terms with being old, and likely not having many years left, not that he was literally dying.
But yeah, as I've said in a few threads on Reddit, this is heartbreaking. I can't think of many other artists that have had the impact on me that he did, whether it's just feelings that he's caused, or being responsible for me getting into loads of awesome music. It feels almost like a friend has died.
RIP Bowie
