That said, the repeats on mine have been cutting out or coming through at a ridiculously low output at random. I've read a few other posts on the internet complaining of similar issues. I think the circuit is probably fine but Cbread may be rushing production to meet demand a bit. Just a guess....

Yup, could be a pain in the ass financially speaking. I'm still waiting to hear back, emailed a few days ago, we'll see.

Didn't read through all of this but Exhorec style delays are my favorite.
Of course my actual Binson Echorec 2 Super Special being "the one"; in pedal form there are some good options now.
My favorite being the Echosex 2. Not so much in it sounding exactly like an Echorec because it doesn't entirely but it's one of my favorite delays, period. It sits in a mix so well and just sounds incredible. A very inspiring pedal. Though I cannot wait for their new one that will come out next year that will be much more closely related, many more options and obviously more expensive.
1776 Multiplex set on Echorec is actually an awesome representation and so affordable.
Echorec from Catalinbread is most accurate in relation to the multi head mode.
Haven't tried the new Bonaroo or whatever it's called but I'm curious.

I don't know this for sure but I am 98% positive that the disc echo turned into the Small Echo Array, which is a super awesome pedal (and, actually, the pedal that made me sell my 1776).

No, hadn't heard of it till I saw it on this forum a while back. I watched one demo but that particular demo didn't peak my interest. What do you like about it?
What I liked about it was that it's intuitive and simple to use. Dry volume, wet volume, time, feedback. And then a switch for each head. Really cool rhythmic stuff. And it was good pre or post dirt.

The tone of the delay is fantastic, but that's subjective, so I'd say the 'head toggles' and the independent clean/effected gains (so, so much better than a clean blend) are what make it a keeper.
Also I was falling into this thing with the Multiplex where I would basically set it on 'One of these days' and nothing else. It does that tremendously, of course, but that's about 10% of what the pedal can actually do. The Disc Echo can do that but is easier to manipulate in real time for someone like me -- easily confused by an array of knobs.
