New Eastwood tenor guitars

Got one of the one-pickup Warren Ellis models this week and everything Uncle Grandfather says is true. The pickup is pretty damn hot alright but I've read of people lowering theirs which helped with getting cleaner sounds from it. I was worried the neck may feel a little flimsy but it certainly isn't, thanks in part to the wider necks in use here. The size and weight is pretty much perfect and it in no way feels like a toy. One look at Warren using these things on stage should be a good indicator of the beatings these things can take!

I'm not sure I believe them. I mean, where is the photographic evidence? Why do we still get only drawings?

Right...they do have photos of the sg tenor up but I'd like to see the baritone too. It seems the first batch was built back in April but I can't find anything online from owners. I'm glad they are making it in the same color as my Ellis, I'm leaning towards that...

Could have sworn I'd seen proper photos of the baritone somewhere!

he said they are still waiting on the photo guys to get proper photos done...but he gave me this photo of the baritone next to the tenor

It's interesting how long the scale is on something that's in between a guitar and a tenor guitar. 26.25 is longer than most guitars.

Not plectrum guitars, which usually run between a 26" to 28" scale length.

Still need a Warren Ellis... These new ones are super awesome too, don't know if I can deal with the standard width tenor neck though.

its my understanding that the neck on the Warren Ellis and i assume the baritone are wider than a typical tenor neck...whatever that is

something about the string spacing and making the instrument more comfortable for bassists and guitarists i think i read although I assume Warren must have had some input on it as well. its a really comfortable neck, i took to it like a duck to water. i've read some people complain it gets too wide near the 12th fret but i think it feels great.

In related Warren Ellis news, Reuss Effects are working on a WE Signature pedal with 3 effects in 1! Reuss, as you may know, also put out the Rowland S Howard inspired pedal a few years back which was a Dist + and a Blue Box in one pedal. And a damn fine pedal it is too!
