Using mine in the ES-8 loop (too tall of of a pedal with the wrong switch to use with my one half-usable foot) to turn on/off, so haven't noticed that. No grounding issues though.

I just realized the other day that Helix had a feedback model. It's hilarious.
This is whatever their stock patch is, but I rendered the take twice, with different feedback setting, and then panned them:

This is another patch I made, that goes feedbacker>amp/cab>feedbacker>reverb. 1st feedback is an octave up +5th and the other is octave down.

I believe the Helix/HX feedback algorithm is designed by the DSP programmers who were with Digi/DOD before Samsung shut everything down—Line 6 picked up the whole crew. I’m trying to remember what pitch/Whammy type algorithm or algorithms got added around the same time, but they also upped the ante there.
(They did carry code over, mind you, but built things again based on prior experience.)

Few years ago, I almost wanted to get a Freqout too, but then Line6 updated the HX/Helix with that new Feedbacker effect. I never compared it to the Freqout, but it does a wonderful job! Super cool as an hamornix/feedback synth.Gone Fission wrote: ↑Fri Jan 30, 2026 7:39 am I believe the Helix/HX feedback algorithm is designed by the DSP programmers who were with Digi/DOD before Samsung shut everything down—Line 6 picked up the whole crew. I still have and use my FreqOut (actually FreqOuts, because I got fixated on the idea of stereo feedback), but I like the Helix feedbacker more. Having the feedback tones overlap as they change makes everything extra-dreamy.
