Comic Books, anyone?
Anyone here into comic books? I've been out of the loop so long and I don't know any good one to get.. I found a few by trail and error, but it'd help more if someone had some insight

comics are another perfect example of something I'd like to spend more time on. But then again, time is the only thing I feel (except for more guitar gear) I'm lacking in life at the moment! Damnit!
Neil Gaimans Sandman-stuff is quite good. Otherwise, check out this awesome website about my, at least used to be, favourite superhero.

Hellboy, B.P.R.D. & assorted related spin-offs - a friend got me a few issues of the collections when I was laid up a few years back, and I got addicted. Crazy intricate horror / sci-fi / pulp stories that all intersect & make the overall arc richer. Mignola & Co. never forget anything - something small but weird that comes up in a one-off story that seems isolated from the rest of the series will inevitably show up later on as something crucial.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I like lots of types of comics (manga, european, american, indie) but few of those I consider actually any good. I won't just read anything.

I don't read any print comics, though I do sparingly read a few online that have been published in book form.
Then again I routinely follow Rice Boy and Order of Tales as well as the slow-updating Dresden Codak. Then again, I've been enjoying the latest story arc in Dr. McNinja.

rice boy IS FUCKING FANTASTIC
it's just super frustrating how it's such an epic tale, but only updates 2-4 pages at a time.
another good story-based webcomic is Gunnerkrigg Court.

Re: Comic Books, anyone?
Well the guy does a lot of his pages in advance. He updates with 3 or 4 pages a week, which is a lot compared to most other comics out there. His use of Chiaroscuro is damn-near perfect in Order of Tales, though I do prefer the simple color scheme of Rice Boy. I cannot wait to see what story he starts next since OoT is supposed to end sometime in August, I believe.
