Miracle Rabbit (Proto) Clip.

Post by drunkenguitarist »

I got this about a week ago. Just got around to making a very short unrehearsed clip.

I'm still new to it as I've been working a lot lately. Kinda reminds me of a hybrid big muff/fuzz face in a way.

I put the controls at noon just to show what this is capable of. I hope you folks enjoy the clip as much as I had making it.

A big thanks to Eric for allowing me to purchase the prototype. :thumb:

Now, a couple pics.

Along with the mini wolf.

And, finally, the video clip. :animal:

okay, i dig the demo. honestly i really like it when someone takes one of my pedals which I think sounds mediocre, and then they play it well and make it sound so tasty! i cant make demos sound so good.

what camera are you filming with, seems pretty crisp?

I like! There's a crazy howl to it... like a 'woosh' or something in the background. Would be an awesome fuzz for a guitarist in a three piece, balls-out rock outfit I think. :thumb:

Yeah, I know what you mean. The first time I fired the MR up it reminded me of the Meathead as well, just a bit dirtier with a healthy dose of raunchy goodness.

Cool, glad you like it. :joy:

I used a Sony DSC-W50. Pretty standard little point & shoot cam. Seems to take pretty decent videos. :thumb:

Yep, the clip was inspired for the most part from listening to a lot of Wolfmother.

The expander knob acts very much like a tone control. I'll work on another clip very soon. Possibly this weekend. I'll keep you guys posted. ;)

Expander orignally was going to be a gain control, but it ended up being a tone control. The production unit it will probably vbe labelled Filter.

Regarding guitar knob interaction, it doesnt clean up with the volume knob if thats what you mean. If you roll back the volume a smidge it does mellow out the intensity a hair and warm it up a bit, which may be of some use, but for the most parts, you just step ont he sucker and play.

i tried it on bass once, when i get my new (to me) bass fixed, ill do a bass demo myself, sounds pretty good

I was mainly interested in the tone control interaction. Say you put the expander (or filter) at 3:30, and your guitar's tone at 2. Will it be a decent rhythm sound, and then you can roll up the tone for piercing leads, or just be un-discernible mush with the tone that far down?
