Affordable Bitcrushers?
As in, sub $150.
I want a giant bunny and I want a bunch of regular bunnies and they will form a hive mind and the giant bunny will be the queen bunny and they will attack in swarms.

This guy's been posting this one for a month or two now. Might be worth dropping a line. Doesn't seem to be moving.

And how does one go about acquiring one? Also, how much are they?

Yeah, the Fax Machine sounds pretty bad ass!

The dude's Fax Machine pedal costs $120. I'm not sure about the bit crusher. His email as listed on his site as: mtl.asm@gmail.com.
Give him a hollar and let us know what he says!

Re: Affordable Bitcrushers?
I got my Bitrman for less than $100, and its bit crusher sounds badass. Only downside is that it can't be daisy chained (9VAC FTL) and its bypass is more of a button than a true stomp switch, but I just tap lightly

So I picked up an Alesis Ineko at a pawn shop today. It has about 3 different bitcrush settings, not to mention scratched vinyl and other tweaked out oddities. What a crazy device! I have a little bypass loop pedal to throw it in for engaging. Pretty blown away by the power of this thing.

Has anybody received their Uranus bitcrusher yet? I'm real close to sending Scott some cash....but the Geiger is a known quantity to me since I had one. Can the Uranus get a clean bitcrushed tone or is the gain somewhat fixed?

it can be pretty clean in the first mode but i will make better samples on the weekend so you can hear it. i dont know if gain has as much to do with it as sampling rate. i think in the first demo vids i also have the resolution pretty low like 2/4 bits or something for most of the sample, this will make it pretty fuzzy at any sampling rate. From maybe 6-8 bits at high sampling rate its much more subtle. in general though, the algorithms are designed to be more reactive than subtle. ;)
