Korg KP1

Post by elbandito »

So yesterday, I went and did some session work for a guy... recorded for about an hour and in the end, the guy tells me that he has no money! :wha?:
Who does that?

Anyway, I ended up taking a crappy old Korg KP1 from him as a (hopefully) partial payment. We'll see if he mans up on the rest.
My question is, have any of you used a Kaoss pad in a live setting? I know Radiohead and a couple other groups use it on vox but I hope to find a use for it with guitar... any ideas?

i'm "secretly" thinking about buying/collecting all of them.

i've seen the KP1 & KP2 used great live. but i think it takes a certain type of individual or grupo to really successfully use them or incorporate it in their set-up.

i''d say just sell it. if you're unsure about it & you already deemed it "crappy," its definitely NOT for you. i'd buy it from you if i had teh cash or trade you for it if i had something worthwhile to trade.
