Ecstatic Sunshine

Post by Bellyheart »

Anyone listen to it? I really dig it. They started with two guitars and now added more, but I'm starting at the beginning on lala.

Before my band started it was the two of us guitar players, got a full band, and the songs changed because the ideas couldn't come through as well. Something about good about dueling guitars that aren't metal.

i played with these dudes (when they were a two-piece.....they have more now?) white mice, and lightning bolt a couple years back. they whole show slayyyyedd hard, but i distinctly remember these guys' set as being ridiculously awesome. at the time they just looped shit and harmonized with each other. the sound was really percussive, though, which is what stood out the most for me.

That show sounds fucking awesome! White Mice and Lightning Bolt is a show i've been waiting to see. I've seen White Mice twice and LB split from them both times the night before. Still haven't seen LB.

They're very percussive. New stuff especially.

Yeah it was great. the venue we played at had a great setup (i think it was used to record ac/dc or some shit) so white mice just went straight through you, it ruled.

i have freckle wars and way, im assuming e.s. put stuff out since then, right?

Yeah, Living, which is another EP and Yesterday's Work which is a LP. Yesterday's work is weird. It kinda all sounds the same. I bet it'd be a fun show, but it's not translating well. Ever since Merriweather came out, all the other B-more groups are trying to emphasize the B-more sound.

After listening, Living is by far the best. Have you checked it out?

Well, they did what bands should do and get more far out as they progress. Too many bands start great and then turn into every band.
