Ghastly octave down, octave up, ring mod sounds...a different octave tone with each pickup selector setting, and your guitar's Tone knob functions as a blend/flavor control. Joining the Velcroar in the "extra limited" section.

One of my greatest joys of fuzz is how much your guitar's tone knob effects it. Simplicity is nice in pedals, which is why the Phantom Octave is getting squeezed into my pedal board in a few days! On the other hand (and in the same box) I've got my AlgRoar, which Tom made custom for me (YES!!!), which is a 2 switcher/5 knobber that will surely satisfy my tweaker side.
Simplicity might not be the best word, however. The Arc Flash looks very simple, and it is, in a way. That thing is a veritable apothecary of tones, bringing to mind such sensations as the taste of sweet cream to the raspiness of a plastic chair fart. Never underestimate a knob. These tonesmiths cram a ton of effect into each degree of turn!
