does it behave well with other dirt boxes? Is there any sustain at all with it? I've watched the videos. I've owned the US and know that i luvs it ta pieces, but the OK is one of the few I haven't tried yet

I was afraid of that too before I got it. but really with the control max'd it's very thick mid heavy velcro fuzz that has a decent sustain with a hotter pickup. with other dirt it depends. I put it at the end of my chain so it was after a few buffers and it turned into a treble heavy squeal machine (Delay repeats going into it sound lovely)
Currently I have it right after my DBA Fuzz Gun at the beginning of my chain. the DBA pedal is way brighter and more gated really. You can kinda hear the dirt infront of the OK as is and it's kind of a mid booster with a messed up decay. Adjusting the bias on the Fuzz gun can get the stutter to come in sooner. less bias voltage means more sputter. You can get it to go all the time with the right settings (esp. cool in osc. mode on the fuzz gun *bleep blep blep bleeeepppppppp* etc etc.

envelope filter+OK...
This is the reason why I was considering it in the first place. Throw in the weird squarewave vibrato on the memory boy and it's gonna sound like a broken toy. Beautiful. I'll get the US again soon enough, too. Now GZ or Mellowtone trumpet fuzz?

Re: Stuttering decay and rippity, zippity velcro fuzz
should run before ze filter? I was sort of thinking that it'd be cool after with it's staccato-ey decay. However,I'll try it both ways and see what happens. Disaster Fuzz after a wah is always cool, but I run a fuzz ahead of the wah, too.

The OK is great with other pedals.
The US is probably what you want though.
