go watch this movie, seriously
im gonna go see it again and probably another time after that depending on who i go with
it all comes together so well, so.....perfect, seriously spike jonze tore that book a new one and filled the gap with yummy cheesecake
the music to it just fit so perfectly everywhere, Karen O's screams and lullaby-like tunes compliment the moods and atmospheres to the point that id say they almost make the film. the acting is beyond superb, the kid who played max had me and the friend i watched it with impressed the whole time. there are some scenes where even trying to be cynical doesn't work because it's such a genuine interpretation of the way kids are, and the way and the \/\/!1∂ †îñgz really represent the different aspects of a personality is downright amazing, everyone 'will' see a part of themselves in the fuzzies (another reason to see it, they're fuzzy ) because each one is obviously made to personify a different personality trait, the power struggle between them is a cute way to show max's dealings within himself but spikey jonzey put all kinds of little subtleties in there, it's so heartwarming and even nearly-suspenseful at some points

This. There were enough playful scenes with the "wild thing" to keep children amused, but really this is a movie for adults.

I loved it. I also loved the soundtrack.

I am too much of a purist/dick to have any desire to see it... and I totally hated those "Karen O & the Kids" songs... damn "kids" need to learn to sing!

Don't mind me, though... Really, my opinion should not matter at all.

Visually looks really nice, though I'd say (judging by the commercials) the palette is too low in contrast. Also, I've read that there is little narrative.

I'll probably pick it up when it comes out on Blu-ray as I'd rather not suffer through fools in a theater.

I think this may be one of the rare instances where I prefer the movie over the book.
It touches upon many issues about the loneliness and anger of being a child that the book sorta skirts around.
It also looks pretty

Maurice Sendak was also totally on board with the liberties they took with his work, so that's always a plus.
