metal to check out but like with some stupid specifics included?

Post by behndy »

sooooooo... haven't been doing too well lately. for like, the REASONS. haven't really enjoyed super heavy instrument based music for awhile, been actually reveling in feeling like a teen screaming fuck no i won't do what you told meeeeeee or some'at.

any suggestions for newer off metal stuff to check out?

newer means like... lol. in the last 20 years to current?

really dig the sideways to classic heavy stuff that the first few Korn albums did, System of a Down is amazing (but i'm kinda burnt out on them, have listened way too much), prefer singing to screeching, always enjoy female timber voices vs male.

and like, if it's metal'ish mashed up with angry electronic stuff, oh yes PLEASE.

not as heavy as i'm thinking, but i am OBSESSED with Amnesia Scanner lately.

boop? hope everyone is well and taking care of themselves and everyone good around them.

Hmm… in the systemofakornnumetal vein.. hmmm… :idk:
Infectious grooves (suicidal tendencies spin off)
Stuck mojo
Otep (has female singer…)
Slipknot
Not sure on newer stuff in that lane.. but the style has been picking up popularity in the last 3ish years so I’m sure there is a new crop of numetalers spawning :)*

oh man i burned THROUGH the Infectious Grooves loots i had as a kicken. was a huge Suicidal fan, Infectious is so dumb but so fun. was aware of Otep, never really listened to them much. will check into their musics.

PISS is a bit more punk than i'm into, quite liked some of Heriot and Djuna, Oranssi Pazuzu is nifty. found Pupil Slicer from Heriot suggestions -

https://pupilslicer.bandcamp.com/album/mirrors

they're nifty. Poppy is confusing and enjoyable as well.

lol. am i being a snob for hating the recording quality of the Chat Pile stuff i listened to? things don't have to be glossy, and a lot of music benefits from less is more production, but for some reason that was hard on my ears to listen to?

thanks for all the recommendations!

Check out HEALTH. They're kinda industrial-ish, but with killer vocals and a really dark, electronic vibe that scratches that "screaming fuck no" itch.

i really like Knocked Loose. lot of good songs. so much anger.

the internet is AWESOME for finding bands upon bands upon BANDS ta
hat i would never have heard of.

sucks it's misinformation is contributing towards the headlong rush towards fascism in so many countries, but GREAT for finding good musics!

My guy :!!!: :!!!:
Things are actually pretty great? Which feels weird to say because the world is decidedly not going great, but... yeah. Couple of great band things going, happy with work, happy at home...Very good vibes within the personal DoS bubble, all things considered. Hope yr doing well too?

Love Scaler - they really shine live as well - lots of live instrumentation madness.
