Crumar roadrunner 2

Post by imJonWain »

Anyone here have a Crumar Roadrunner 2 or are familiar with one at least?

Is it normal for the different piano modes to have different output volumes when selected? Also anyone happen to have a manual or service mnaual?

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with this unit, but I suspect it to have completely analogue sound processing. Those '70s organs/keyboards/synthesizers sometimes have preset knobs but no further individual volume adjustion for those sounds. It may well be that you have to live with it. Did you check videos if this behaviour is normal? Some of my synthesizers don't offer a separate volume feature for the sounds that I program, so when I'm selecting programs on my KORG Trident or Poly-61 I have to keep in mind that a bright PWM lead might be horribly loud in comparison to a mellow sawtooth pad.

This is the only link for a service manual that I can find, but the download rate is very low and I don't know if this source can be trusted. The download refuses to continue on my PC after 75%:

Yeah, it only has a master volume and 4 toggle buttons to turn on sounds which can be combined. I'm gonna watch some videos and see today.

Yeah I saw that site and was a little nervous about it. I can't believe how hard it is to find a schematic for this thing.
