Flea Bass Vs. MIM Fender P-Bass
I don't care for my Fender Zone, due to all the onbaord electronics stuff, and I'm looking to downgrade. Played a MIM P-Bass, great neck, didn't plug it in but I'm pretty sure I'd upgrade the pups... Also, I was looking at the Flea Bass it seems pretty special. Simple, one pickup, volume and tone knob, funky colors... I haven't played one because no stores around here carry them, so I can't compare the two. It's up to you!

Are you asking about this Flea bass?
http://www.fleabass.com/
Oh keep your head phones on.
Or the Modulus one from a few years back
Played one of the later a week or so ago,
It’s very well made, and very sparkly, but didn’t float my boat.
A feel, sound, bonding thing.
I’m a Fender guy, worse yet a Jazz bass guy.
I like the range of sounds the Fleabass has on the site.
It comes across as very versatile. I really would like to check one out.
String through for me is the way to go, can’t get that with a MIM.
Hey you get a DVD too and the colors make it stand out.
Both are in the same price range.
Tough decision.
Get the Flea cause every body else has a P.
(well except those with Rics, Wals, Warwics etc, but they are just not right and I don’t want you hanging out with them.)

Get This:

Save yourself some money and get a better bass (IMHO).
Those Flea basses are pieces of CRAP.

That's what I was leaning towards.
