SCREAM is a fucking awesome movie.

It was. It's easy to dismiss the series after the horrid sequels, but when the first came out it was a surprising reinvention of the genre.
It had just enough camp and humor to be charming (the self-deprecating jabs at slasher flicks were clever), but it still was a good ol' slasher flick.

Plus, I always fantasized about stringing somebody up like the killer did in the beginning. (what? nobody else?)

no shame - i love these movies. i've got the box set! i really enjoyed all the weird teen/slasher/horror movies of this era that i saw.
