I was reading the Debbie Harry book and she apparently was briefly in a band with this guy, who I had never heard of. The instruments are a little like what the Neptune folks use.

There's a sentence in the wiki which reads "A photograph of one of Nothing's dingulators appears as the back cover art of Hearts and Minds, Musical Instrument Makers of America by editors Nancy Ellis and Robert Bailey, and photographer Jake Jacobson" A copy of which, much to my delight, is sitting on a shelf a few feet away from me right now.
