The complete Feeding Of The 5000 is available as stems for your remixing pleasure.

If you submit your remix to Crass Records by January 31st,
your track might end up on a charity 12"

Sweet, no?

Very cool. Will try to remember to check out.

I'd like it if more people did this!

it seems to be a really old UK punk album. the engineer is talking about remixing the album numerous times to get better quality with each release format. I would take a guess that he is putting this out there just to see if anyone can do a better mix than he can. like a student asking you to do his homework. if you are not happy with the mix then fire yourself and open up the check book. no one works for free.

 yes it's one of "The Classics".

If I download it I'm going to fuck it up and make it sound weird  which honestly is what I assumed the point of this was (hadn't read any of the blurb so maybe that's just my assumptions). And if some weirdo decides to do a "nicer sounding" remix of a punk record famous for sounding like a cheap punk record for free then...
:idk:

None of which is an attempt to say you're wrong. Probably right because that's the sort of rubbish people do. I'm just so confused why anyone would want a slightly better sounding Crass album

Just downloaded this (17gb!). Definitely going to snip some samples out and load them into my Digitakt, make something weird and stupid.

I'd be keen to hear someone mix the album better too, has anyone done it with these stems yet? Just a bit of EQ would probably go a long way. It's all very flat and scratchy. Especially that left guitar.
