1 Spot problem

So I'm playing my guitar, and randomly, the sound will drop out and you'll hear- click......click.....click....click..... which goes on for a while, then it will come back in. At first, I thought it was a bad cable, but it turns out this only happens when I power stuff with my 1 spot, specifically, dirt pedals. What's up with that?

You're probably grounding out the unused pluggers. sometimes i go so far as to put tape over mine.

They now come with little plastic caps to put over the unused plugs.

I am getting a similar hum from the 1spot.

I think it is due to 4 caps not being used.

I can't really use another power supply, because my older pedals need a male adapter (which I can the converter for), and my Clean/Dirty Chan needs a 9V adapter converter.

What kind of tape are you guys using on that? I'm going to try that first and if it doesn't work, I'll just get 2 "5" adapters instead of currently used an "8" and a "5" which leaves 3-4 caps unused. :wow what a fantastic idea you have there:

Well, the biggest problem isn't the hum, all pedals powered by the one spot won't work and the signal doesn't go through and all you hear is a weird clicking noise until it starts back up

yeah that sounds like an unused plug shorting out on the chassis of a pedal or something
