Got a stock ss/bs mini. I would reeeealy like to have it modded with a soft touch switch. Is it possible to do this? Don't fail me now, fellow seekers on the path of fuzz, you're my only hope.
I've got rudimentary DIY skills and have soldered a thing or three, though honestly I'll probably want to pay someone to do it for me. Mostly asking as to whether it is possible at all

Re: Mini w/ soft switch?
Short answer, depending on how much space is in the enclosure.
Soft touch bypass uses relay and those take up more room. It could be done, but it will take additional space.
You need room for this and a switch:

Could be done smaller with smd components.
Maybe if you manufacture a pcb and mount it like this:

Re: Mini w/ soft switch?
Is there no "off the shelf" hyper compact switch IC bypass solution available?
I mean, I prefer true bypass through switch or relay - but the tech to employ MOS switching has come a long ass way since the tone sucking mid-80s.. it's amazing the difference a few hundred some odd ohms can make.

Re: Mini w/ soft switch?
Thanks, all. The mini seems like it has room for the mammoth one, but I love the drop in simplicity of the BLMS one. If I'm understanding correctly, I could switch that in for any standard 3pdt switch? That's exactly what I want.
When you are working with pedals and a hot mic those clicks are the worst.

I believe they’re a drop in replacement. I’ve got a project that I will try one.ritz wrote:Thanks, all. Mammoth is $20 plus a lot of wiring, so that $15 switch is actually cheaper and less headache.

I wanted to try the BLMS one but it is always sold out. Even now it's sold out again.
