Sorry I'm just so excited about this and I got it for so cheap. I've been looking for a awesome new tele for awhile now, I had to part with my 69 thinline reissue a few years back when I let a friend take on tour and it came back just destroyed. It was a amazing guitar and he also felt the same about it. Neither of us had heard such a amazing sounding tele. Well the search is over! Enter the Fender Joe Strummer signature telecaster:
Okay so it looks just absolutely ridiculous, but Fender did a hell of a job recreating a 66' Fender Tele, I guess they did some serious work on making sure the parts all duplicated that exact guitar that Joe had and used throughout his whole career. It sounds just down right amazing! They rusted everything that was metal on this bad boy and that just makes me want to punch my self in the eye. So I'm going to sand it down and paint it later on in the future (I hear painting guitars is a huge pain in the ass). First thing first though, I'm going to strap this badass on it:[/attachment]
Ooh so excited!!!
So has anybody else had a chance to play one of these? If you see one give it a spin, it will blow you away!
(Throw a little reverb on, turn the treble up and grab this guitar and you get the exact sound of Brand New Cadillac)
My first new electric guitar in years (don't make fun)

I could have just got a MIM Tele and placed the JS pickup in them since I found them on ebay for 50 bucks a piece but that would have still been more expensive than the deal I got on this guitar.
Oh yeah, and the neck is wore down to mimic years of playing and I wont lie, that is pretty nice.
