Ehx canyon
What chu guys think of it. i haven’t seen it on any bodies boards. I really want it for that harzari style multitap as well as something to replace my Charlie Foxtrot and boss ps3. Seems like this will get me there for the most part.
Does it suck or what?

I don't have one, but I've got it watched and I'm really feeling the same way. It seems like a great box with some crazy functionality for pretty meager bread.

It's a pretty sweet pedal. Plenty of options and most of the engines sound solid. For $120 can't really beat it.

Re: Ehx canyon
I own one as an all-purpose delay for when I jam with a friend or something and don't want to bring or tear apart my full board. I like the sounds of all the modes but the built-in tap tempo functionality is iffy at best; it's never as accurate as I want it to be and you need to count your number of stomps because if you stomp an odd number of times you will leave the pedal in it's bypassed state, which is inconvenient. I have yet to try it with an external tap tempo switch, and while I do intend to, I kinda feel like this lessens the appeal of the Canyon because of added costs and increased amount of space taken up on a (hypothetical) pedalboard.
The secondary knob functions are dope, they add a lot of extra depth to some modes. Personally I am more of a one knob per function kinda guy but I think I could get used to these.
Concerning the multitap mode's potential to replace a Charlie Foxtrot, I wouldn't ever consider this (I do have a Charlie Foxtrot on my huge board). The Canyon's multitap is just not as definable/programmable as the CF is. The only pedal that I can see replacing my Charlie Foxtrot in the near future is the Bananana Fx Mandala, at least for the way I tend to use it.

This. Sat down with one when they first came to my local store and was really impressed with the secondary knob functions. The DMM setting satisfied as well (more than the XO reissue honestly). Also, can't beat it for the price. I don't give two pewps about tap tempo on anything so I cannot say anything good or bad about that function.oscillofuzz wrote: The secondary knob functions are dope, they add a lot of extra depth to some modes. What oscillo said. Tap funkshun works mo betta with an external tap. Mine was purty dang small/cheepz. Kinda like the Canyon. Feels like bang-for-buck to me, but it's not my main/only delay
I could get by with it alone, and I have (becuz I iz stoopid). That's why I keep it in a gig bag pocket.

I use mine all the time, but I almost never use it as a delay. With the Delay set at zero and the Feedback set to taste, I use the Modulation and DMM modes as two flavors of chorus, the Reverse as a kind of ring mod, and the Reverb as a...reverb. The Octave mode gives you one down and one up with Feedback at zero, and organ sounds with the Feedback turned up. Shimmer mode can work in a similar fashion, but it gets clangy fast. I probably use the Tape mode the most, to give everything a degraded, almost Mellotron-esque sound. I do use the Multi-tap and S/H modes as delays, and once I even used the standard Echo mode.

i don't have anything meaningful to contribute here but they're probably going to put the canyon and the crayon in a box and call it the cranyon right?
