I have A LOT of her tapes. Big fan. Seen her live twice. I'm not sure how well she speaks English but, after one show I told her the story of how I was on the train to the city with a bunch of douche-bag preppy types (if anyone in the North NJ area has heard of 'the hunt' those are the people that were on the train; I am not judging these people on how they dress but how they act I.e. Entitlement, condescending, classist etc.) and I was listening to one of her tapes and felt like the coolest person in the world. She seemed pleased but confused. It was very generous of her to listen to me.

Probably one of my favorite artists let alone 'harsh noise wall' guys...the master...Sam McKinlay a.k.a THE RITA. I was not at this show but went to the two shows in NYC before this one in Philly...material from his 'Ballet Period' (my terms, not his). Just an fyi, cell phone camera audio does not do the live experience justice (like, you don't listen to SUNN O))) on a portable blu-tooth speaker). Watch THE RITA is like witnessing a sonic event...honestly, one of my favorite things I have done in my life V
