Fairfield Circuitry - Meet Maude Analog Delay

Post by affectperdals »

I finally got my greasy hands on one of these a few days ago. I wanted to wait and play with it for a while and make a video before I posted here. I wasn't 100% sold when I first played it but now I am. It sounds nice and gritty, just like a lofi analog delay should sound and the ability to use an expression pedal and effects loop made me happy :)
I don't miss having a tap tempo here (I thought I would). Personally, I think it sounds pretty damn cool. It might be a little too gritty for some people though. I haven't decided where I want to put it in my chain yet but I'll figure that out soon I guess.
The tone and feed knob can be adjusted in a lot of ways to get some really nice sounds. From super dark to almost distorted delays. The higher the tone knob gets, the more it changes the feedback so it took me a little while to get used to that.
Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy the video.

Very nice indeed :) I enjoyed those sounds, especially when you added the Mercury 7; then it becomes really eerie.

Yea, adding the Mercury7 to anything makes it better, haha.

I have one coming in a few days and I couldn't be more stoked. This video definitely helped or made it worse... or both. Great video!

Nice demo! I love mine. I still need to mess around with the fx loop.

Yea, if you're not going to use an expression pedal it's totally worth it to use the effect loop.
