I'm very into this being a mega-RV-3.

Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

This and the md 500 are the coolest shit. I don't like delay enough for a dd500 but I fully intend on picking these up.

Competely unrelated to the pedal, but Rabea is looking good.

This looks so good!
I am slightly confused by the RE20 mode, tho. BOSS's site says it "Recreates the Roland RE-201 Space Echo, one of the most coveted tape echo units ever made" which seems to imply that it will include the delay section? I love the terrible-sounding reverb on the RE20, so I'd be happy either way, but if this could provide tape delay in a pinch it'd be INCREDIBLE.

Re: Boss rv500
One of the demo vids I caught had a snippet of the mode with a short slap and reverb. Meh-ish, but maybe not conclusively. Maybe that's the Brian Setzer thing, but that's a waste of a 201. The manual would probably tell you if it did any of the interesting long delay and multi tap stuff.Bartimaeus wrote:This looks so good!

The possibilities with the assigns...
oh boy...
Dual Reverb that goes from Room -> Hall -> Spring -> Plate modulated with a saw wave in patch A, then Shimmer pitch shifting from - to + in different intervals to create arpeggios modulated with sine in patch B?
And they can be in Series too right?
Fuck...

Re: Boss rv500
I wonder if they'll drop the price a bit after it comes out. It's 50 dollars more for these than the DD500. Does that make me a cheap ass??? UGH. lol

Re: Boss rv500
I don't think they'll drop the price, but pretty sure you could use a discount and get it cheaper, this next July 4 maybe?
I remember I got my DD-500 for $240 after a coupon in one of the holidays.

Re: Boss rv500
I didn't see anything about different delay types in the manual, but the dude in the video mentions them. It goes up to 2 secs tho with typical feedback, mod depth/rate controls. im seriously hyped on these. the sound of the md500 in the demo video sounded a bit 'sterile' to me but he might not haveeven tweaked the eq further than factory settings so I'm Hoping it gets a little fatter (so to speak). going to try it out regardless. will probably flip my bitquest if it slays cause I mostly got it for flanger, bit crush and ring mod. and this thing will be able to take those as far as you can imagine
assigning multiple fx types via envelope is going to be fun to mess with

Manual has it only as the delay section, no verb.Bartimaeus wrote:This looks so good!

Up to 10s, not 2.
REPEAT RATE 1 ms–10.0 s Adjusts the spacing of the echoes (delay time).
BPM
Specifies the tempo.
The range of this setting depends on the REPEAT RATE and NOTE values.
NOTE ˜–ª Adjusts the delay time. This is specified in terms of a note length relative to the
BPM.
INTENSITY 0–100 Adjusts the volume of the repeated echoes (the amount of feedback).
ECHO VOLUME 0–120 Adjusts the volume of the echoes.
HEAD SELECT 1–1+2+3 Selects the combination of playback heads.
BASS -50–+50 Adjusts the low frequency region of the echo.
TREBLE -50–+50 Adjusts the high frequency region of the echo.
