Carbon Copy

Post by metalmariachi »

Picked up a Carbon Copy today, the price was right.
I did an A/B with my Moan Pretty Dolly.
The Carbon Copy is a bit brighter overall and can get 100% wet.
The Pretty Dolly won’t do 100% wet, but has a much greater delay time range going to a full second. Some where between 12:00 and 1:00 o’clock on the Moan = max on the CC.

The modulation on the CC is pretty subtle with bass, haven’t tried it with a guitar, or boosting the input yet.
It does take up less than half the space of the Moan which is a plus and the Moan is positive ground so daisy chaining requires a bit of thought before plugging adaptors in.

Price wise the Moen wins at $53 it is still a bargain.

Any way I like both for what they do, so I didn’t free up any space on my board.

I need to look into moen pedals, they seem to have a cool vibe to them.

Chinese coolness.

Old site
http://www.moenpedals.com/effects/mo-pd ... dolly.html

http://cgi.ebay.com/MOEN-Pretty-Dolly-A ... iewItemQQp

The chorus and Shaky Jimi Univibe clone are very nice for the price.

New site has better sound bites.

Found John Silver’s Soundclicks, with some Biyang pedals too

I'm looking for a nice, very analog-sounding delay for under $200 doesn't need a tone of features. Is the Carbon Copy what I should go for?

Really? It's THAT analog sounding, I mean, I can get an actual analog delay for that price.
Then again, this motherfucker looks VERY tempting: http://cgi.ebay.ca/circuit-bent-digitech-pds-1002-2-sec-delay-synth-pedal_W0QQitemZ300336194506QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar_Accessories?hash=item45ed6ea3ca&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Yeah, doesn't have the modulation but the Hold and pitch shifting functions more than make up for that.
