Pedals that you've appreciated for a long time?

Post by mathias »

Hi all!

As a counter to the "GAS" style threads that celebrate acquiring and flipping gear, I wonder:

Are there pedal that you've kept and appreciated for a long time?

For me, that pedal is probably my Earthquaker Hoof. I've had and built other Muffs, but I always come back to the same gold Hoof pedal that I've had for something like 8 years.

I think the pedal I have had for the longest time on my board is a TC flashback

Darkglass B7K and Duality.

Those have been my most loved pedals by a long shot.

The longest running pedal for me is the EQD Bit Commander I think. I use the living shit out of that pedal.

That would be my Space, it's been only 3 years but I have no desire to get another reverb pedal/rack/VST unless I go with an H8000 or some nerdy stuff like that.

I've bought and sold probably 20 of them, but the OCD is pretty much a lifetime pedal for me at this point for dirt. For everything else the Bitquest is never leaving my board again

At this point, I think the Black Fountain might be the longest runner on my board, but that's only because I did a complete purge a few years ago. Still, I do love that pedal.

Have you checked out the Bedlam Drive (AFAIK it's a modified OCD)? The one I got from Chank has been pretty rad.

I'd say the one pedal I've consistently kept on my board is my first: a Digitech Whammy IV.
The only other one I've kept for a relatively similar period of time is a DBA Echo Dream 2.

I've had a DOD FX-72 since like 2003 or something and no matter what happens to my tastes it remains so fucking rad.

The Fuzzhugger V2 Algal Bloom has survived numerous pedal purges. It can generate almost all of my favorite fuzz textures and could be my primary mid to high gain dirt source.
